Traffic Axis Design of Ahmadiyeh Neighborhood in Isfahan

Employer

Isfahan District 6 Municipality

Description

Ahmadieh neighborhood is a part of Isfahan’s Takht-e-Foolad religious-cultural-historical-cultural complex, which is located next to Khatunabadi, Seyyed al-Iraqin and other Tekyahs. This area has a worn texture, which has been considered by the 6th District of Isfahan Municipality to implement incentive policies and texture improvement. The congestion of cars in the main arteries around this axis, such as Azadegan Boulevard and Mosalla Street, etc., has caused cars to use sub-axes such as Ahmadiyyeh neighborhood thoroughfares to escape the traffic of these arteries. The neighborhood is worn out. The main axis that has been involved in this neighborhood and has created traffic problems for the citizens due to its small width, is Shahid Mohammad Reza Jafari Alley, which is limited to about 2.5 meters wide in its central part. On the one hand, this alley is limited to new buildings built according to the detailed plan of Isfahan city on the western front, and on the other hand, it is limited to the family tomb of Sadat Mahdavi, who is one of the scholars of Isfahan city. Therefore, the design of the passageway with the aim of facilitating traffic in this neighborhood parallel to this alley was on the agenda of Arvin Tadbar Architect Consulting Engineers.
