Description

The Great Mosalla Mosque of Imam Khomeini in Isfahan, as the host of the political-religious gatherings of the people, as well as the holding of Friday prayers, which is within the historical graveyard of Takht-e-Poolad, has doubled its importance. This mosque is composed of different sections including nave, minaret, compartment, porches, etc. The nave of this complex, with dimensions of 60 x 160 meters, is the largest and most important part of the metal structure. In the original design, huge parts of glass was chosen as the covering material. With the technical criticisms and climatic defects of this cover, Arvin Tadbar Architect Consulting Engineers was selected as the evaluation and review team by the project manager. In addition to conducting a list of selected materials to replace the glass, the consultants negotiated with the engineers to complete a plan to change the internal dimensions of the roof covering and humanize the internal scale, which led to The final design that was presented by this team.
